This LOGISTICS PARK located in Baytown, Texas represents a typical industrial track project for our TRACK SERVICES GROUP.  Phase I is shown in the above photograph and consists of approximately 100 cars of interchange, 300 cars of storage, and an industrial lead that serves other properties within the park.  Phase II is currently under construction and will double the interchange capacity of the park.  Phase III will follow shortly with approximately 300 cars of additional storage capacity.

This particular industrial track project is served by both the Union Pacific Railroad and the BNSF Railway Company and utilized all of our track consulting services:

PROPERTY ANALYSIS
RASCo was asked by the buyer and future owner to evaluate possible track alignments, rail-service feasibility, and preliminary track construction costs.

TRACK ALIGNMENT DESIGN
RASCo developed complete track alignment drawing sets for submission to the serving railroads.

CLASS I COORDINATION
RASCo has been involved in all negotiations related to track and rail-service with the serving railroads.  This consists of on-going discussions related to updating the Industrial Track Agreement as the various phases of track construction are completed.

PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS
RASCo developed detailed material take-offs, bid documentation, and track construction and material specifications based on the specific intended use for each track - storage, interchange, switching leads and turnouts.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
RASCo provided consulting services to both the owner and the contactor throughout the track construction.  RASCo continues to provide on-going support to the owner for each additional phase of track construction.
